The oil and gas separation filter element in the three filters of the air compressor plays an important role in oil and gas separation, oil recovery and circulation, and improving the quality of compressed air. It is one of the key components to ensure the normal operation of the air compressor and provide high-quality compressed air.
1、 Oil and gas separation
Core function: The main function of the oil and gas separation filter is to effectively separate oil droplets from compressed air, making the compressed air cleaner. This is achieved through the special structure and materials inside the filter element, which can capture and retain oil droplets while allowing clean air to pass through.
Filtering mechanism: In the oil and gas separator tank, large oil droplets are relatively easy to separate, but suspended oil particles with a diameter of less than 1 μ m need to be filtered through the micron sized fiberglass filter layer of the oil and gas separation filter element. These tiny oil particles are affected by diffusion, inertial collision and condensation mechanisms when passing through the filter material, quickly condensing into large oil droplets and depositing under the gravity at the bottom of the filter element.
2、 Oil recovery and recycling
Oil droplet recovery: The separated oil droplets are concentrated at the bottom of the filter element and returned to the lubricating oil system of the compressor through the bottom return oil pipe, achieving oil recycling. This process not only reduces oil waste, but also ensures the stability of the internal oil volume of the compressor, which helps to maintain the normal operation of the compressor.
Maintain oil quality: The oil gas separation filter element can also filter out impurities and pollutants in the oil to a certain extent, maintain the cleanliness of the lubricating oil, thereby extending the service life of the lubricating oil and reducing compressor failures caused by oil quality issues.
3、 Improve the quality of compressed air
Purifying air: The effective operation of the oil gas separation filter greatly reduces the oil content in compressed air, thereby improving the purity and quality of compressed air. This is crucial for industries and application scenarios that require high-quality compressed air.
Protecting subsequent equipment: Clean compressed air can reduce corrosion and pollution to subsequent equipment and pipelines, extend the service life of equipment, and reduce maintenance costs.
